History
The English Centre, established in 1998, is a division of the Institute of Communication Management (ICM). The
parent organisation is engaged in teaching management subjects. The English Centre was originally promoted
to meet the communication needs of our advertising and marketing management students. We observed that many of our
otherwise bright and sharp students could not speak or write in English fluently. This effectively blocked their
career progress. So a course was prepared to help such students. As the students found the course helpful, a training programme for all adult learners was started in April 1998. Today, the English Centre has 18 centres in Bangalore.
Most of the centres are directly managed; a few of the centres are franchisee owned. |
